Class Descriptions - Please consider each level description.  Not all studios are alike!  Yoga is best experienced when you are neither under nor overwhelmed. 

Introduction to Yoga - see workshops/series page


Learn the basic poses step-by-step in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.  This class is for the absolute beginner or for those who desire a refresher course.  This course is the perfect place to begin and to continue - we are offering a special two-part series during this session!  Register early.  Please note there are no refunds after the course has begun. 


Beginning/Level 1 - Students can start here. Learn basic poses and short sequences of flowing poses. 

General/Level 1 & 2 - Six months experience recommended. Basic poses mixed with more challenging poses & longer flow sequences.

Intermediate/Level 2 - One year experience recommended. For students who flow easily from pose to pose and like the challenge of working more deeply.

Advanced/Level 2 & 3 - Two - three years experience recommended. For students who are ready to move beyond Level 2 and enjoy learning the technique required to do more complex asana. 

Gentle/Core - Basic poses, slower pace, will focus on core strength.

Yoga, Pilates & Core Fusion - Asana influenced by creative connections to the core using fluid movement and breath awarenss. 

Group Practice - Students follow instructor as poses are called out with minimal instruction. For experienced and injury-free students. 

Yoga For Stress/Emotional Well Being - yoga postures, breath, meditation, and nutrition to maximize your sense of emotional stability & wellbeing.

Yoga Therapy classes are taught by an experienced physical therapist or doctor focused on anatomy and alignment for healthy movement patterns.  This class is ideal for those experiencing pain or physical limitation due to injury, illness or childbirth. 

Gentle Theraputic - A 75-minute class that allows for detailed instruction in asana, core stability, breathing and relaxation.
 
Yoga Therapy  - A 75-minute class that builds on the principles taught in Therapy I and is a little faster paced with emphasis on transitions in and out of poses. 

Vinyasa/Flow - Keep moving with a flowing sequence of poses combined with breath awareness.
